Nicole by OPI... Kim-Pletely In Love... Pretty In Pink

I have been trying to keep my nail in Nailtiques Formula 2 Plus as much as possible and it is recommended in the instructions to apply it without nail polish over top. So that is what I have been trying to do to get my nail stronger and a bit longer, but I am having a hard time resisting all the nail polish I recently purchased.  I wanted to do something along the line of a springtime theme, so this is what I decided on...

For this manicure I applied the following:
  • Milani Smoothe Base Coat
  • Nicole by OPI in Kim-Pletely In Love...3 coats
  • Out the Door...1 coat
After the fist two coats of polish I really did not like the look of this manicure, but after the third application it wasn't so bad after all. Not my favorite color out there but not too bad. It is a pretty pink with 3 coats applied.

I am working on basic polishing techniques before trying anything too daring and difficult. I recently purchased a bunch of Nail Plates that I just can not wait to try! Baby step... I am taking baby steps, so that will be in due time!

Revlon Sunshine Sparkle

I wanted to do something outside my normal comfort zone this go around. So I selected a yellow, which I didn't think I was going to like as much as I do. What kept it in my comfort zone is the shimmer. It does have a shimmer to it, which I tend to like the shimmers, sparkles and glitter more than the cremes. I think this is a really pretty shade of yellow and it looks great on.

For this manicure I did the following:
  • Milani Smooth Base Coat
  • Revlon Sunshine Sparkle...3 coats
  • Sally Hansen Hard As Nails
  • I used *Nail Life Aromatherapy Drop On Speed Dry
*Regarding the Nail Life Aromatherapy Drop On Speed Dry, it worked great! It did speed up the dry time significantly, it smelled great and has a moisturizer in it.  So with the excess that runs on to your cuticles you can give your cuticle to a little extra bit of moisturizing treatment. This was a great product and I would buy it again.

China Glaze... Peachy Keen, Sally Hansen... Glass Slipper

I wanted to select something a bit spring like  for the first day of spring, so I selected China Glaze's Peachy Keen.  After two coats of peachy keen I thought it needed a little sparkle, so I added a coat of Sally Hansen's Glass Slipper.

Here is what I did for this manicure:
  • Milani Smoothe Base Coat
  •  China Glaze in Peachy Keen... 2 coats
  • Sally Hansen in Diamond Strength Glass Slipper... 1 coat
  • Seche Vite Top Coat... 1 coat

Sally Hansen...Tough Luck, Sally Hansen Gem Crush...Big Money, Sinful Colors Green Ocean

This is the first manicure I have done in about fifteen years.  I was doing a google search for glitter soft claws for cats to see if they were too over the top to put on my cats and mixed in my search came up images of people's manicures and that is when it all began... my obsession over all the fabulous manicures out there.  I found the images of the glitter cat claws, which I loved, purchased and my cats are now wearing, BUT I got completely hooked on all the glitter nail polishes, nail art and creatives manicures out there.  I had to have it! So the purchasing of many nail polishes, nail art plates, etc began.

I wanted to do a little something green for St. Patrick's Day so I picked out:
  • Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat as a base coat
  • Sally Hansen Hard As Nails in Tough Luck... 2 coats
  • Sally Hansen Gem Crush in Big Money... 1 coat
  • Sinful Colors in Green Ocean... 1 coat
  • Seche Vite Top Coat... 1 coat

As for the cat's soft claws and the start of my new obsession, here they are:

Pink Glitter Soft Claws
Silver Glitter Soft Claws

There are tons of colors to choose from...
I will be ordering other colors for the cats too!
