Nicole By OPI... The Next CEO - First Nail Stamping!

Since I got off work very early today I was so excited because I could use the extra time to give stamping a try. Well, because I can't get enough nail blog reading in, I did spend too much of my extra time reading nail blogs when that I was supposed to be nail stamping! Once I finally pealed myself away from the computer and off the internet I attempted my very first nail stamping.

I had a hard time lining the image up with where I wanted it on the nail and that was probably the hardest part. As a whole, it was a relatively easy process. With a bit more practice I hope I will work out the alignment issue. I actually had an easier time aligning my off hand because instinctual for this hand I held the stamper facing up an then rolled my finger over it. Wish I would have done that with my dominate hand. I will try that next time.

Ok, clean-up and bold spots need to be worked on too! Yikes! It's not too bad for my first go at it. I don't hate it. What do ya think? Any tip, tricks, shortcuts, etc. are certainly welcomed and appreciated. Thanks :)

What I used in this manicure:
  • Milani Smoothe Base Coat
  • Nicole by OPI in The Next CEO...3 coats
  • Konad in Black...nail stamping
  • Nail Plate: Konad m60
  • Seche Vite...1 coat

  1. Love this design! Great job! And thanks for the placement tip about rolling your nail on the stamper. I will have to try that next.

  3. Thanks Sue. I was happy with it for my first crack at stamping. Needs improvement, yes, but still happy with it.

  4. This came out great, especially for a full nail stamp! I find those harder than the tiny little accent designs. These certainly don't look like it was your first stamp, they're fabulous!

    1. Coool. That is good to hear. Thanks so much. It certainly was not perfect, but it was not a total disaster either. I was really intimidated by the whole process...that's why it took me so long to try it! I lean to the side of being a perfectionist and I hate if something ends up too big of a failure...but it really was ok in my book.
